Jonathan Coleman

Jon is a theatre maker, writer and performer based in Manchester. His work explores the nature of storytelling, focusing on the mechanics of telling stories rather than the stories themselves. Jon’s works focuses on the notion of failure and the fragility that failure exposes. During his studies he performed at the Greenroom, Manchester in Emergency ’09 with a piece entitled Falling. Jon has worked with companies including Imitating the Dog, performing in Bar of Lost Souls and Six Degrees Below the Horizon and  toured with Just A Must Theatre on an international tour of Sports Play. He was recently involved in the project Leaving Home, a collaboration between Lincoln University and BBC Lincolnshire.

As well as working with Paper People Theatre Jon is currently touring is solo show, How to be a Man. Jon is an associate artist of the Lancaster Emerging Arts Platform (LEAP) and has received support from Ovalhouse, Contact and Live at LICA. He has worked with The BBC, Dragonshead Productions, University of Lincoln, Just A Must, Imitating the Dog and Proto-type among other
